What it does not do
Worth knowing before you sign up rather than after.
Card payments
Billing is not switched on yet, which is why you can use it free today.
POS integration
Square, Clover and Toast are on the roadmap, not in the product.
Google review management
Reading and replying to reviews is not built.
Multiple locations
Viktr is built for one shop. A second location needs a second account.
Questions people ask
- What does the SMS itself cost?
- Messages are billed by Twilio, on your own account, at their rates — usually a cent or two each in Canada. Viktr does not mark that up, and you can see exactly how many were sent.
- Do I need to be technical?
- No. Setup is a form. If you have a website, paste the address and Viktr reads it. If you don't, you tell it about your shop in two minutes instead.
- Will it text my customers without me?
- No, and it cannot. Approval is enforced in the database — a campaign physically cannot move past draft without a signed-in person approving it.
- What happens to my customer list if I leave?
- It stays yours. You can see every member in the dashboard, and a customer who asks to be forgotten is erased properly — the record, not just the view of it.
- Is there a contract?
- No. It is month to month.
Try it on a quiet Tuesday.
Ten minutes to set up, and nothing reaches a customer until you have read it.
